Investor Compensation Fund
Falcon Brokers Ltd, hereinafter referred to as the “Company” is an investment firm incorporated and registered in the Republic of Cyprus under registration No HE 266954 and is authorized and regulated by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC), license No 128/10, and is a member of the Investor Compensation Fund (ICF) pursuant to the relevant provisions of the Investment Services and Activities and Regulated Markets Law 144 (I) of 2007 .
The Fund is a private legal entity managed by an administrative committee of five members known for their knowledge, expertise and integrity.
The purpose of the ICF is to secure the claims of the covered clients against the Company in the event the latter has failed to meet its obligations towards the covered clients, in the course of providing investment and ancillary services, and the Company’s financial condition is not expected to improve in the near future. Failure to fulfill its obligation means that it is established that the Company is not able to
- Return funds owed to its covered clients or belong to them, but are held by the Company in the context of providing investment services to the covered client.
- Return financial instruments that belong to the covered clients and which the Company holds, manages or keeps on its account.
Covered Clients
Falcon Brokers Ltd clients are covered by the ICF unless they fall under categories mentioned in the section “ Clients not covered by the ICF”.
Coverage
The maximum amount of compensation that may be paid to a covered client is EUR 20,000 (or equivalent) for covered services, irrespective of the number of accounts held, currency and place of offering the investment service. It is also noted that investment firms shall not pay any compensation to a client who has been convicted of a criminal offence under the Prevention and Suppression of Money Laundering Activities Law.
